(I don't take insurance but can provide a superbill to go towards out of network coverage. Many people ask about insurance and there is very important information to consider. I am not discouraging using health insurance but want everyone to have knowledge to make an educated decision. With couples counseling the only way there is possible coverage is if one person has a medical condition and is given a medical diagnoses (ie: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, etc). If that is the case, then a claim can be submitted from a therapist that takes insurance or a superbill can be given and can be submitted by the individual and go towards out of network coverage. I want everyone to be aware that once a diagnoses is in your records it may affect future applications for life insurance, disability insurance, government employment, security clearances, etc. Also, now with Obamacare, preexisting conditions aren't an issue but as we don't know what will happen with our healthcare preexisting conditions may come back and then diagnoses' could affect insurance.)
