Think about how needy you are as a person. To do well in coaching, you need to remain independent. Never be too needy and always maintain your independent judgment. Notice that I said never and always, and I mean it. Coaching is not psychotherapy, do not try to make it this. Next, discuss the personal coaching philosophy of the coach. Discover the coach's life view and organizing perspective. Then, explore how the coach will communicate with you, build insight, and enable you to develop new skills and attain more satisfying ways of managing your situation and living. Finally, review the plan of action and commit to it or disengage and find another coach.
