Introduction: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I have been in private practice in the East Bay for over 28 years. I provide psychotherapy for adults, couples, families, same sex couples, adolescents and groups. I specialize in working with recovery from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse and other childhood traumas, depression, low self esteem, codependency issues, parenting concerns, compulsive eating patterns, body image dissatisfaction, chronic illness, and perinatal loss. In addition I often work with people who are seeking general growth individually, and in their relationships. In my therapeutic work, I synthesize in-depth psychotherapy with EMDR, Jungian sand tray, somatics, dream work, and expressive arts therapy. I hold the therapist - client relationship as a crucially important part of the therapeutic work, and I work from a holistic perspective. I do phone and Skype sessions when my clients are unable to come to the office. I am a provider for MHN, and also bill insurance companies when clients have out of network coverage. I have a sliding scale for clients with extenuating financial needs.
