I recently hired AJ to install a reverse osmosis system under my sink, and I’m really glad I did.
After researching different models, I decided on the Waterdrop X12 and purchased it on Amazon. I considered installing it myself, but after a past DIY dishwasher install led to leaks and floor damage, I decided to leave it to a professional.
I reached out to several pros on Thumbtack, and AJ stood out right away—he responded quickly and provided a fair, competitive quote during our initial conversation. He even offered same-day service and made the drive from Livermore to Manteca during rush hour, which I really appreciated.
When he arrived, he was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He got started right away, and the entire installation took about 1–2 hours. He was patient throughout the process, answered all my questions, and clearly knew what he was doing.
One thing that really stood out was his attention to detail and care. Before drilling, he first checked whether my sink already had an existing extra hole for the RO faucet. Once we confirmed the setup, he carefully measured everything to make sure he was drilling in the correct location through the quartz countertop. His precision and caution were reassuring and showed he was focused on avoiding any unnecessary damage.
He also explained potential risks, such as how drilling through the metal sink could affect the caulking and potentially lead to leaks, which I really appreciated. He gave me options, including whether to use an air gap or proceed with drilling, and made sure I was comfortable before moving forward.
He checked in with me while installing the faucet to make sure I was satisfied with how everything looked and felt, which I thought was a nice touch. After finishing, he tested the system thoroughly to ensure everything was leak-free and working properly, and he cleaned up the area before leaving.
The system has been working perfectly since the install, and I’m very happy with the overall quality of work. He also took the time to discuss and provide quotes for a few other plumbing projects I’m considering.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be using AJ again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality plumbing work.
