Ashlie is warm and lovely, and was very sweet, staying extra long to help me with my makeup. Iloved my eye makeup especially: Long lashes (fake but cool), great smoky eyes.
Ashlie had a later appointment, and I had jury duty!!! called on that day, so Ashlie worked with my girlfriend first, and then with me, staying extra long due to my having been late from jury duty day. She is very warm and open to whatever makeup you want.

Ashlie was wonderful !! I will definitely be hiring her for my next photo shoot . She was on time and well prepared with abundance of makeup . I have never seen a makeup artist so organized and she was down to earth I felt comfortable working with her ! She was punctual too and confirmed night before which was great ! Everyone should book with her I’ll definitely let her do my hair next since she does makeup and hair !

I will use Ashlie again and cannot recommend her enough. She responded within an hour to my request and once we coordinated the details, she requested photos and details of what I was wearing and the look I was going for (she did my makeup and hair). She arrived right on time, set up quickly and was just so pleasant to be with. She did my hair first and then, after my makeup was done, she went back to my hair to make some small adjustments (asking for my feedback all along the way). She nailed the smoky eye look I was going for and my hair was gorgeous. I had people coming in and out helping with my party and had to step out on a couple of occasions to give them direction. She was never annoyed or rattled and she never made me feel like she was rushed. Wonderful!!!!!

Absolutely LOVED Ashlie!! A girlfriend and I were visiting from out of town for NYE and wanted to get our makeup done for the occasion. Having never booked anyone from Thumbtack for a MUA before, we were both a little nervous and were not sure what to expect. Luckily, both of us were SUPER happy with how our makeup turned out!! Ashlie was professional, incredibly kind, and I would definitely recommend her. If I am ever in SF again and in need of an artist, will be hitting her up!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For bookings I require a 60% deposit upfront for holding an appointment slot.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once my client's appointment is booked, I like to delve into the details of the client's needs and wants. This can include sending photos, videos and/or mood boards to achieve the perfect look.
During the appointment, I like to go at the the client's pace and flow. Additionally, I like to provide checkins to make sure they are happy.
All in all, I like to make my clients feel comfortable and give them exactly what they ask for and more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background is in education and business. I am a teacher, fine artist and entrepreneur. I love everything beauty-related and I have 10+ years in providing beauty expertise to a variety of clientele.
