Introduction: I have real life experience. I have both on hands experience and the education (Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science) that makes me a well rounded animal trainer/behavior specialist. Unlike the trainers that are located in the well known retail establishments that are given an manual and a test and are allowed to train as long as they pass the exam. I actually know canine behavior. What makes the dog tick inside. What they are thinking when they are about to do something and better yet why they are about to do something. The best part of my job is knowing that I am saving a dog from ending up in a shelter! Being able to teach humans and dogs to communicate effectively to achieve harmony in the household is my ultimate goal!

I worked with Karrie at Perfect Paws and I have never seen such amazing progress in my shiba inu! As a puppy, you want to think you are doing everything you can to keep as many "bad habits" at bay, but there is always something that rears its ugly head. I have had other trainers I've worked with before, but Karrie really understands what it means to be a behavioralist. I went from having a over-anxious and chew up my carpets dog to having a perfectly tempered dog who has never chewed on the carpets again! She helped me not only understand the length at which my behavior affects my dog, but also helped me truly understand the needs of dogs. There is a HUGE difference between dog and human psychology. Her approach may be direct and something you are definitely not used to, but give her a chance and she will prove to you in less than 15 minutes that she can change your dog's life and your's!! Thank you Karrie! I don't know what I would have done without you :)

I am extremely experienced in the field of behavior modification and canine obedience. I have been training for almost 20 years. My most important goal is to ensure that the dog gets the right training to avoid ending up in the local animal shelter for bad behavior. I am committed to this goal therefore, I offer a free consultation so that both Perfect Paws and the client see eye to eye as to what the dog receives the best training that he/she deserves. I ensure that the the client understands that there are certain training steps that are absolute and some with be varied, depending on the dogs personality and behavior.
