We had Wild Thyme do the bartending for our wedding and it worked out perfectly. They were very helpful and responsive. Everyone loved the friendly service, and of course the great drinks!Aug 25, 2017Verified
Susan and her team were outstanding. Everyone was very professional, polite, helpful, and good-spirited. In addition to this, they showed up on-time and were willing to stay an extra hour because our Fundraiser/Art Show ran longer than expected. I received many compliments regarding the service and the positive attitude of all the Bartenders. I was also very appreciative that they assisted in set-up and clean-up of the event (not a small task - 500 people in attendence). Wild Thyme Catering definitely went above and beyond their responsibilities! I would highly recommend them for any type of event. I look forward to working with them in future.Jan 6, 2015Verified
Event Catering (Buffet)
I am writing this review as I eat the last bit of delicious leftovers from our work holiday dinner that Susan catered. Everything was perfect from the moment she arrived. We were having a murder mystery themed party and she even came dressed to the theme! Everyone was raving about the food - the Prosciutto Chicken was a hit! We also used her bartender who was wonderful. We will definitely be using her for our next dinner!Dec 7, 2015Verified
Event Catering (Drop-off)
Susan prepared yummy finger foods for a paint night we hosted. This lady works hard!. Always on the move, making sure food was replenished and drinks were served. She also served as bartender and handled both jobs superbly. She suggested a special drink for the evening that was a BIG hit. Very yummy. She refilled drinks for everyone as they painted. Susan was great and I would definitely use Wild Thyme again!Feb 9, 2015Verified
Wedding and Event Catering
Susan is a very talented cook. We hired her to cater our daughters 18th birthday party. (30- 35 people) While the food was very good, she apparently had a very off night and arrived 1 hour late to our event (as guests were arriving) and forgot certain heaters for some of the food so the food was cold at times. We hired a bartender from her that was unfortunately just awful at $35/hour and Susan failed to inform us that she was leaving midway thru the party and left us with her very clueless staff. I had never hired a caterer before, just food trucks and I had expected that she would make my life a lot easier. It turned out to be an absolute nightmare with the bartender wasting over $200 worth of alcohol she should not have opened and food that should have been leftovers being ruined. THe biggest issue was Susan arriving an hour late which set the tone for everything feeling very rushed and unprofessional. I did give Susan this feedback and she profusely apologized and gave us a discount on the overall bill. However, even the discount did not warrant the expense given how unprofessional the staff were and the overall experience was just not what we had expected when paying for a professional caterer. Everyone has an off night and we told Susan that if she wanted to comp the evening we would give her another shot an unfortunately she was not willing to do this so we will not be using her service again. I do think she is a talented cook and her professional catering sense and staff need some help. I hate to write this review but these are the facts and this was very unfortunate. She did have wonderful reviews hence while we hired her so hopefully she will grow with this feedback and hire trained bartenders.Oct 20, 2016VerifiedWild Thyme Catering / Wild Thyme Mixology's reply
Receiving this kind of review makes me sick to my stomach. This does NOT represent Wild Thyme Catering. Yes, that was an off night. Traffic was crazy so I got there late. The chicken skewers were not heated, but I believe they are AMAZING warm or cold, so I don't think that was a problem. I had hired a new staffing firm and the people they sent were sub-par, to say the least. I have since found another staffing agency and I am delighted with their work. Yes, this was an "off" night. But, when it came time to bill her, I felt horrible and gave her a steep discount. She responded back to me that she wanted me to give her the entire catering, staffing, bartending, for FREE. Who does that? I have yet to be paid by this customer. It has been over a month since the event. Batsheva received great food, a bit late... and not the best service. For that I am very sorry. Just think she should pay her bill. Nuff said!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our prices are very individualized. We provide fresh quality products, great service all at a good value. We can talk to you and work within your budget to create a fabulous menu and a wonderful event for you and your guests.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We make a connection and then discuss budgets and menu details, then put a menu together. We try very hard to please our customers.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am always doing something to learn more about my craft Right now I am taking an on line course at "The Great Courses". Fantastic!!
