FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to make my clients feel at ease from the beginning by starting off with a consultation, whether it’s in person or via phone, email, or even FaceTime. During the consultation, I like to discuss all of the basic details such as date, services I’ll be performing for them, etc. Most importantly, I like to get a feel for what their vision is and what kind of makeup they would like. For brides, I like to do a trial makeup before the big day so that everything goes smoothly and they will feel completely at ease and relaxed the day of their ceremony. It’s also very helpful so I know precisely what kind of look they want and what style of makeup they feel best in. Once I’ve discussed all of the fun stuff with a client, I then go over the business side of things such as policies, deposits (if required), etc, and provide them with a a copy of my policies, references, and a quote so that everything is discussed and taken care of ahead of time... No one wants to have to bother with that on the big day of their wedding, event, or photo shoot!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a working makeup artist since 2004, I attended and graduated from Make-Up Designory Los Angeles in 2010, and I have been working for MAC Cosmetics since 2010
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a makeup artist by doing makeup for friends and family for their special occasions, photo shoots, and weddings. After I left my hometown and moved to Los Angeles for a while, I was fortunate enough to gain a great deal of experience in the beauty industry and my career has continued to grow from there.
