- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an insatiable appetite for learning and growing. I participate in professional associations such as the Association for Corporate Growth and the SVForum Engineering Leadership Special Interest Group, which I co-founded. I keep up with industry trends via the internet, of course, and subscribe to various publications that share best practices in my field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked for many years in sick, twisted, dysfunctional organizations that sucked my will to live, so I decided to do something about that! Now I create life-affirming work environments that produce dramatically better results as well.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Usually I work with groups of people who are responsible for creating organizational change through their collective leadership. We clarify the "organizational DNA" and the current situation, imagine the ideal future of the organization, do a gap analysis, and then work to achieve the future vision. This typically takes the form of leadership development workshops where real business projects are the center of the learning process, coaching, business process consulting, and facilitation of strategic projects to provide a structure and strategy that will create sustainable changes that produce dramatically improved business results. I also facilitate events, like strategic planning sessions and corporate DNA discovery workshops, where groups of up to several hundred people come together to explore what's possible for their organization.
