ION Builders was recommended by Thumbtack based on the needs of my project (converting loft into a bedroom). As I stated in the project description: I want to convert my existing loft into a bedroom with a closet. Just need a wall and closet constructed using existing sq.ft and add a door. ION Builders were very responsive in calling me to discuss the project. After two phone calls and sending pictures, ION Builders determined they could not do my project. The decision was based on “we don’t do small projects in the home” basically we can’t charge you enough. Well didn’t they read the project description (reference above). To add insult, instead of communicating their decline via a phone call, since that’s how we were communicating, they punked out and sent me a message via Thumbtack. Customer service is everything. As you see in their response, they state they are a deck and landscape company. Why would they reach out to me and respond to my detailed home project of that was the case. So now they are liars.

Hello Jonathan L, Yes. our company does decks and landscaping. Some indoor projects qualify for us to do indoors so we need to get the details from our customers. Our representative checks those details with our team and they let her know if it’s something we can actually do or not. That does not make us shady or unprofessional. It makes trustworthy and very professional because we let you know we cannot do it and don’t wast your time further. We take constructive criticism seriously and I can tell we will be calling back to update and not send messages. We are sorry you were disappointed that we could not do the project but between that and assuming we are shady or unprofessional is a long way to go. We ask you kindly to remove this review.
