Introduction: PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOU CANNOT TRAVEL TO EL CERRITO/ RICHMOND. I PAY $ FOR EVERY PERSON THAT CONTACT ME!. I am Adi, a former division 1 tennis player. I am originally from Israel with 23 years of tennis experience. I am PTR certified and have a tennis instructor certification from Israel My approach to tennis is: First, I need to understand your level/ coordination ability. People have different way of learning and have unique natural movements. To get to your desired playing level, I believe that technic needs to be simplified and be based on fundamentals. In order to get there, the goal is to understand the roots of every movement and understand that each player develop his own flow. Issues need to be tweaked one at a time and develop the muscle memory with a lot of repetition. If you are looking for a sparring parter we can do that too :). I’m not the coach that come to spend your time chatting - Be prepared to hit a lot of tennis balls 🎾. If you unsure about my tennis level you can check out the video of me uploaded below. I teach all ages and all levels and help you improve all aspects of your game. I charge $110/hr (see Frequent Asked Question below). If you have any question, don't hesitate send me a message and I will replay as soon as I can.

I played volleyball for over 30 years until my knee wouldn’t cooperate anymore. At 50 I started to take tennis seriously and after turning 60 in June I decided to push myself to reach a higher level-currently a 4.0+. After a few lessons with Adi I can see that he is the type of person/coach that I want to help me to achieve my new goals. He gets right to work and wastes no time. I like the way he really “looks” at what I’m doing and constantly keeps adjusting his approach to my particular style and level. As we start to learn more about each others style and habits, I can see achieving the goals I’ve set out for myself.

Adi is a passionate, hardworking guy with excellent knowledge of all the techniques and little details of tennis. Even though I’m a beginner (4months) player, he had very straightforward and helpful drills from many years of teaching experience that really helped me improve my overall skills and mentality! He also really seemed to enjoy tennis as he himself is an expert and was happy to answer the blizzard of questions I had. During the lessons, he would constantly ask for feedback to find the perfect comfort zone for my playstyle and helped in fore/backhand(even though he is one-handed, he knows as much about the two hand backhand), serves, etc. I’d say his lessons are not only the best-bang-for-the-buck, but also one of (if not the) best quality in the Bay Area!

As someone who had never played tennis before, Adi did a wonderful job showing me the basics so that I was able to start playing during my first lesson. I would definitely recommend this instructor to anyone else looking to take up tennis or brush up on their skills!

Had a few lessons with Adi so far. He was easy to contact and chat with, and I’ve found the lessons the perfect balance of easy to learn whilst challenging. I’ve enjoyed his instruction so far as an intermediate player

I have taken a few lessons with Adi so far and he has already been very helpful in improving my tennis game. I play USTA league team tennis at the 4.5 rating level. I have played tennis on and off for 20 years and I haven't had lessons for the last 17 years. I am very glad I decided to start taking lessons with Adi as he has already given me very helpful input for improving my serve, forehand, backhand, and volleys. He provides simple recommendations for improving each tennis stroke and then helps you to work on implementing those recommendations.
