Stephen did a great job on our flagstone patio! He was very competitive with the estimate he gave us for the work we wanted done. Not only that, but he completed the job in record time- 2 days from start to finish. He is courteous, prompt, reliable, and he takes pride in his workmanship. In today's world, it is rare you come across contractors that still possess those qualities. We will be calling Stephen again when we need any type of home improvement work done around our home. I highly recommend Stephen! Great guy who does great work!
Charles & his team are the best contractors I've ever worked with. Even on a tight deadline, they got everything done right. A real pleasure to work with. Will be the first person I call in the future.
Cesar did a great job.....Convinced me to cement my side yard as well for a great price....Awesome experience....
This one-day poject involved removal of dirt, broken cement, and Palos Verdes stone, in addition to demolition of concrete and bricks steps. They were very hard workers, thorough, and cleaned up at the job completion. Bid was very competitive; they are a very reliable firm. Would definitely use them again.
Hector did a great job will all things that I need to get fixed. He is man of all trades, from pluming ,cement work to electrical. His prices are very reasonable I highly recommend Hector.
Joe was considerate and not pushy. One of the very few contractors to return a call for a job estimate. He was punctual to the job site and when he had questions he never hesitated to ask resulting in a well-constructed fence.
I am not one who ordinarily takes the time to write a review concerning some work that I had done. In this case I am making an exception due to the experience that I had. I had some major backyard fence damage due to strong winds that also affected the adjoining neighbors on north and south side. Mark gave me a detailed invoice as to cost and labor and helped coordinate with my neighbors to split cost and he provided all of us with individual invoices that broke down all costs and labor. Mark is extremely knowledgable, very diligent and he constantly communicated with me to let me know about any concerns or issues that arose during the job. He has an engaging personality and a great sense of humor. His finished work was incredible. Better than I could have ever envisioned. His work ethic is outstanding. He started the work when he said he would and finished the work when he said he would, which has been an issue with other handyman contractors that I have hired in the past. I will hire Mark for every future job that I have and I highly recommend him to anyone that uses this site for referrals. I am happy to have been able to write this review and I know that anyone who reads this and hires Mark, will feel compelled to write their own glowing review. Thanks again Mark.
Did excellent cement work on my side yard. Very professional and did the job in a very timely manner.
Javier was super professional and most important based on my experience with contractors in Laguna Niguel, he was fast. Four days total (demo, soil prep, paver order-pick up-installation. Came back next day to replace a chipped paver, super responsible!
I would not hesitate to recommend HCC. Such an easy and seamless transaction and process from the very beginning . Keli's response time is so quick - which was very refreshing after chasing around a couple contractors just to get a bid on our project. Thank you for all your help and hard work Keli - and thank you for making our project run so well.
I hired Thomas to patch up the wall around my baseboards, fireplace, and a spot on our ceiling. He was very communicative and organized. He left my house cleaner than any contractor I've ever hired. First one I didn't clean up behind after he left. I recommend him.
Jordan as a person was very nice. His inital follow up was prompt and he spoke very highly of his attention to detail. As a first time homeowner, I know little about construction and heavily rely on the expert knowledge of others to assist with our remodel. We hired Jordan after meeting three other contractors based solely on our interaction with him. When we originally had Jordan out to our house it was for a flooring quote only. Jordan explained he also preformed landscaping work on the side so we added that to our list. Jordan did an amazing job installing the floors! The entire dynamic of the house changed because of the floors. I was very disappointed in a few other areas which is the reason for 4 stars. We do not currently live in the house although we do have a few items in place for weekend visits. Towards the end of the job Jordan said that they were mostly finished so I had gone to check out the progress. The tile work in both bathrooms is crooked. The master bath is very noticeable. In addition, my bedding was covered in dust and they had smeared grout into the carpet in my bedroom. There was also sloppy grouting and caulking done in several areas of my home. To add insult to injury his crew decided it was ok to help themselves to my kids popcicles - this actually upset me just asuch as the tile floor. Giving credit where it is due: Jordan and Tim did have my carpets cleaned, my bedding dry cleaned and I was given the option to have them rip up the bathroom floor or receive a discount from my final bill. Jordan did offer to replace the missing popcicles as well although that never did happen. The landscape looks nice as well but we asked to keep the remaining turf and that also didn't happen. I asked jordan about it and he said what was salvageable was in our shed - it wasnt. Again, I was very happy with the floors but the other items make it hard to say if I would rehire for additional projects. Nice guy but I didn't feel like our home was cared for in the way he said it would be. If you do decide to hire Jordan my recommendations would be: 1. Get a detailed breakdown of the work 2. Notate about the use of your personal items (they completely filled up both our garbage cans) 3. Inspect. Inspect. Inspect. Check every corner.
Diamond West was contracted to build an industrial strength security mail box. Jeff Horne of Diamond West, was exceptional at communicating timelines and establishing expectations. He was very responsive and completed the project on time.
B. King is currently our favorite person. We hired him initially because our home renovation contractor had done some damage to our house. Rather than fix it, the contractor told us to hire someone else to fix it. Not knowing what else to do, we set out to do as he advised, which led us to B.King. B.King came over, took one look at the site and pointed out all the things our contractor had done that the Contractors State Licensing Board would view as violations. He instructed us to take pictures, file a complaint right away, and contact a lawyer--all of which we did that night. Suddenly, our renovation contractor was singing a different tune. He volunteered to fix everything and even paid B.King to repair some of the items he'd pointed out. B.King ended up saving us thousands of dollars in legal fees and empowered us with the knowledge we needed to get our renovation contractor to perform as contracted. B. King also completed the work the next day, had competitive pricing, and was a dream to work with.
Great job on repairing our cement block planter. Very responsive and excellent work . Would definitely hire again.
I went through the process of evaluating different contractors for estimates on not only price but what their thought process is to complete the job I envision in my head. I had 5 different contractors at my home and ultimately went with Joe Paea and his crew made up of his brothers. Let me just say that I 1000% made the right choice. Here is why: 1. Knowledge - Joe took the time to not only help me think through design options but he walked through each and every detail on the "how's" and "why's" of the job. Here's how we do this... This is why it is important to do this... He walked me though the excavation process, removal, drainage and pour. He showed me design options from standard concrete to stamped, colored options, borders...etc. 2. Honesty - there were things that I had in my mind which I wanted to do for my project that would have been the wrong choice. Joe had no problem advising me on why to not do it that way. He helped me greatly. I really appreciated this. I never felt like he was taking advantage of me or anything. I fully trust Joe and this business. 3. Easy to work with/like-ability - Joe and his crew are amazingly professional but extremely likable guys. The whole crew was fantastic. Great people and great personalities and they were also all family making each other accountable with no arguments on the job. 4. Price - Joe's price was a little lower than most of the contractors which had me worried but in the end I am so glad I went with him. The few that were higher, I did not trust their knowledge or commitment to me. They were more about getting a job done and collecting my $$$. Joe was more about helping me find something that I will love and be proud of and affordable. I ended up going with a large backyard concrete job where I added stamped, colored concrete with diagonal lines and borders around the edges. We did a drainage system as well as a side yard walkway. It looks beautiful. At the end of the day, do yourself a favor and work with Joe for concrete. Joe and crew will be my concrete guys for every job moving forward. No question.
Very professional contractor in an area where one is hard to find. The work that was done turned out to be very high quality. I am impressed with how the job was executed and would certainly hire again in the future. The project was done on a Porsche job cite and they were satisfied with the finished product, which is rare.
I've owned my home for 23 years and have hired many contractors in that time. Justin Hardman, is the hardest working and honest contractor I've ever hired, I will recommend him to my family and friends. He removed old falling down drywall, replaced it, taped and texture coated my whole garage, it came out looking good. Also, Justin left my house very clean.
Needing a new fence and wall topper/lattice work, we found Nick on Thumbtack. We selected him over other contractors because of his straight forward presentation and instant chemistry. He has a can do attitude and did not try to up sell the project, but rather educated us about materials and options . Our project came out beautifully! Nick is a great carpenter and has a wonderful personality. His attention to detail is on point and he will accommodate your design choices without pretense. We highly recommend him for your project.
My wife and I have used California Jungle twice. The first time was to help sell our home, where Chris Degroote upgraded our "tired looking yard" to create new modern look that improved the curb appeal and value of our home. We sold the home for full price quickly, and received many positive first impression comments about the landscaping from buyers. Next, California Jungle did a large renovation of the next home we purchased. This included front, side and back yards with a mid-century modern theme. Chris and team built a barbecue, courtyard, and decorative, retaining walls. They upgraded the deck, added planters, and opened up our ocean views. This project took several months. Chris did a good job planning, managing a crew, and discussing many design options. We highly recommend California Jungle to improve the look and value of your home.
Derek met me and advised me on the siding to my new house. Very helpful and up front with the costs and have good advice. I had a very positive experience with Derek
