- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's normal and customary to retain the professional services of a licensed (or ordained) Officiant to provide leadership to the most important day of your life. As a pubic figure, pastor, and community leader, it's my belief that couples wanting to be married understand there is always a fee that shows respect for someone's time and talent. $300 fee, in advance, Greater Sacramento area. Modest travel if outside of the local area.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Detailed Frequently Asked Questions are on my website. That said, the process is remarkably simple! We meet for coffee and determine if it's a good fit for us both. Afterwards, you receive a questionnaire by email. Simple fill it out, return the agreement, and your day is locked into our calendar. Together we will answer questions such as, “Will it take place in a church, or at home, in a garden, or a hotel suite? Will the wedding ceremony be traditional or contemporary, non-denominational, formal, casual or even “spontaneous?” These questions and multiple details will be joyfully worked through as you plan one of the most important days of your life! The Day of your wedding, Pastor Ed arrives about 30 minutes early for a brief walk through if there is no rehearsal requested. If a rehearsal is requested, it's included in the honorarium. - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20 years of being a public speaker, public figure, and having performed no less that 100 weddings and funerals. There are many options open to you in planning your Wedding Celebration, and Ed’s experience will help guide you through the planning process of your wedding celebration… so critical to making your special day a moment to remember!
