I always had a fondness towards animals growing up. I've learned to be respectful of them and watch their body language for them to tell me what they need. May 2026 will make 10 years of experience with a different breed of dogs, cats, birds, fish and small mammals. If you are looking for a dependable, trustworthy and caring person. I'm the one for the job.
I love connecting with a variety of animals and making sure they are well cared for while their parents are away. Many pets get stressed out during a drive to a pet hotel. I try to remove that stress by doing my best to follow their daily routine and keep environment calm if needed. What I enjoy most about my work is caring for a variety of pets and getting the snuggle and wag of approval.

We loved Playful Pal Sitting. Our dogs loved their staycation as well. We were provided with pictures throughout their stay, and our dogs were shown so much love. The environment was very welcoming and the quality of care that our dogs received was impeccable!!! We are definitely looking forward to booking again. Your pals are in great hands with Playful Pals.

Emilia was wonderful!! She sent pictures of my fur baby every day and he appeared to be doing just fine lounging around Emilia home and going for walks. He was at ease as soon as he arrived which allowed me to leave town without worrying about the welfare of my pet. I would highly recommend Emilia and we will not hesitate to reach out to her for all our future trips!

Emilia did all, and more, of what I requested for my dog and handicap cat. She's easy to work with and she truly cares about the welfare of her animals. She'll be asked again to sit for me. Also, Emilia sends the best pictures of your pet during sitting. I felt great that they looked happy and well cared for in the pictures sent to me!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Regarding my pricing my starting rate is $20 per 30 minute of care and $5 per travel. Each 30 minute visit is $25; up to 2 dogs depending on the type of care needed. If an hour is needed it's $45 including the travel and visit time. For Boarding the base fee starts at $60 for non-holiday care and up to $85 for holiday care with a discount for 2nd pal if applicable.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with new clients I have several steps that I take. I like to first speak to them over the phone to make sure we are a good match. Once that is established and our schedules match I like to schedule a meet and greet to get to know my potentially new pal/s and their parents. Once at the visit, we discuss in detail the pals potty/sleeping/eating schedule and confirm the dates that are needed for care.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always had a passion for animals growing up. I had cared for animals of friends, co-workers and eventually word of mouth spread. I took a break for a few years while living in the Bay Area from pet sitting and working at a few big name companies. When we moved to Roseville, I decided that I wanted to do Pet Care. As May 2016, Playful Pal Pet Sitting started to evolve and now licensed and insured with many amazing opportunities to help families who needed to leave there fur-babies behind for work or travel. So far I loved every minute of it working with a variety of furry pals.
