- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate is based on single lessons. However I schedule most students out on a 4 week basis and you receive a discount when doing it as a package.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do an initial lesson at an intro rate, which gives me a chance to assess where the student is at so I can be as prepared as possible if we decide to move forward and also, so the Student has a chance to feel out if it’s going to be a good match for them. After that, I usually schedule people out in monthly blocks and we sit down once a week and go over the various topics and areas we are working on and then I give a handful of assignments to work on for the week so they can continue practicing and improving between lessons. I do everything on a gradient and we find a learning that works well for each student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While I was taught privately when I was younger, much of my knowledge and what I teach comes from the “school of hard Knox” if you will. I’ve been around music nearly my whole life and have been performing since I was a kid. Between fronting bands, playing/recording for others and of course putting in my own study time is really where my training if you will came from.
