Cope's Moving is professional, courteous and they get the job done. Mike and his employees have moved my household items when I moved out of Sacramento and my business furniture and files, including coming back and moving desks and other furniture to storage. Weather it was the big jobs or small they have shown up on time, kept things cleaned up as they went along and did not disrupt my ongoing business while taking care of my needs. I would recommend Cope’s Moving for any moving needs you might require, business or personal!

Crooks and not careful. Glad we monitored them the whole time, they would have destroyed our property otherwise. They give you a "discount" when you pay cash, yet they "don't have change" so you end up paying full price anyway. It also took them 5 hours to deliver my item from a 30 minute drive away. They call themselves professional. Haha.

This is a false review. No such move ever took place. And we always provide change if needed.

I hired two men for one hour max. time to just move a few pieces of heavy furniture plus about 50 heavy/simi heavy boxes. The manager Mike was on the phone for 10 mins. while standing in one room, not moving much around. He said he was working the whole time, l watched him the entire time & disagree. They charged my hour even when he was filling out contract. My son & l (60 yrs. Old) moved the remained boxes in half hour after they left promptly at one hour. Mike said that would take them another hour or so? Don't hire these goons, don't waste your money on them!!!!
Cope's Moving Professionals's reply
When you insist that we leave exactly at one hour, that is what we will do. We were there for an hour & 15 minutes & I told you it would take another 15 minutes to finish. I'm sorry you were unhappy that I had to answer the phone but sometimes that's required when you run a business. I'll be happy to refund you the 6 minutes & 47 seconds if you'd like. In the future, it would be a good idea to use tape on your boxes if you'd like things to go faster.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We move a lot of spas & hot tubs. People buy them used & we move them up or down stairs & into locations that other movers can't put them in. We also do spa removals & will arrange a crane if necessary. We do a lot of small moves. Our 1 hour minimum caters to people with only a few large items. We have all the pads/blankets & other equipment to do large moves as well as small ones, but we do more small ones. Pianos. We move almost any piano for a flat rate as long as it's not going upstairs. If it is going upstairs, it's still a flat rate, but it's a little more. We have all the necessary protective equipment to make sure it's done safely.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Shop around & remember that the lowest priced providers are taking shortcuts. They are hiring inexpensive & inexperienced labor in order to give you that low price. You may save money up front, but you'll end up paying dearly on the back end in the form of damage, headaches & stress. It's really not worth the savings when you calculate it all. The best way to go is to find the best VALUE for your money. Talk to the people who are going to do your move & make sure you're going to get service that meets your needs. If the lowest priced guys can do that, then great but usually they can't. Neither can the highest priced movers. You normally want to be right in the middle or just above the middle in pricing to get the best value for your money.
