Julie took my senior photos, and I was blown away by how they turned out! It's not often that I'm satisfied with photos of myself, but these were an exception. The photo shoot took place around sunset outside of an old, seafoam green painted warehouse near railroad tracks. I really appreciated how thoughtful she was in choosing this setting, as its character truly captured my personality. I have never been good at posing for photos (they often come out looking quite awkward and uncomfortable), but Julie was somehow able to direct me and capture me in flattering, natural poses. I feel genuinely beautiful when I look at those portraits.Sep 16, 2014
Julie is truly A M A Z I N G!! She went above && beyond with my vision an needs with our engagement shoot. I have had a bad experience with a different photographer before an I'm so glad I did my research && found her. She was so fun to work with also.. =]May 17, 2016Verified
Julie was a joy to work with. She made us feel very comfortable and took many beautiful photos in just one hour. She was also very accommodating to my requests. Highly highly recommended!Jul 17, 2016Verified
I hired Julie to be my secret photographer to capture pictures of my proposal to my now fiancé. Julie is so sweet and so easy to work with. She met with me at the site to talk about logistics and make sure we had a good plan. She stayed and talked with me for so much longer than I would have expected her to! It was awesome! On the night I proposed I was so nervous and rushing to set up everything, and Julie made the flower bouquets I needed for me!! She is great; easy to reach and communicate with, got us our gallery of photos done pretty quickly, and we got some awesome shots of the proposal- and she did it after sunset and with no flash!! Awesome job :)Oct 24, 2015Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have pricing guidelines, but we can work together to meet your needs and also try to follow your budget. If you think we would be a good fit, then we can always work something out. Sometimes I can cover a portion of an event and get all the key photos a client needs for a lower cost than if I stayed the whole time. If you want me to travel for your wedding or session, my travel fees vary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Getting to know their likes and ideas, learning about their hobbies and background give me a good idea of their personalities. Once we are comfortable, then their true personalities can show in the work I do. I also work with people's budget, sometimes we can cut back on the hours and really find out what the customer needs to deliver a great end product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I constantly learn and develop as a photographer. I took film classes in college many years ago and then later on got my photography certificate from Sacramento City College. I attend workshops to stay current and learn everything I possibly can. I also enter contests and belong to several photography groups where I am always learning new things.
