Introduction
I've been a professional math tutor for over 30 years. In that time I've helped hundreds of students, from 4th graders to college postgraduates, in areas ranging from the most basic math skills through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and beyond (including statistics). I have a good track record of success in helping students achieve a better understanding of mathematics, with improved grades and test scores as a result.
Many of my students have told me how much they appreciate my love for mathematics, and the enthusiasm, joy, and sense of humor I bring to my work. Some of my best high-school students have gone on to colleges including Harvard, Stanford, and UC Berkeley. References will be supplied upon request.
My basic rate is $32/hr for tutoring at my home (near Sac City College). If you prefer I can travel to you, anywhere within Sacramento and nearby suburbs; the rate for that is $44/hr. (Rates quoted are subject to change, but are current as of November 2015.)

Dave helped supplement my calculus 3 course and he is very knowledgeable in this advanced subject. I have had four tutoring sessions with him so far and will continue to have them with him till the end of the semester. What went well is that he is very clear in his descriptions of the subject matter that we are describing, and as we go over examples he clearly sees mistakes that I make.
