A little about myself. I was born in San Francisco,CA but grew up in Sacramento,CA. Outside of photography, I enjoy playing and watching sports. My favorite sport is football. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I would consider myself to be a nerd when it comes to electronics haha. I love electronics. Go figure that I would decide to become a photographer when the majority of tools needed for photography are electronics. I was inspired to become a photographer by a good friend of mine who is also my mentor. Growing up I never really considered myself to be artistic. However, with a camera in hand I feel like an artist. I am a late boomer to photography but so glad I am now a part of this world. I truly love what I do and can't wait to do some amazing work with you all.

He was a great photographer, had a lot of great tips and knew how to set up every shot. Both the quantity and quality he delivered exceed our expectations. We hired him for a graduation shoot at UC Davis which required a lot of walking which we really appreciated his time for.

Marcus was great! Very receptive to what I wanted and he is creative inputing his ideas and suggestions about the shoot. I am very happy with the service that M. Ross provided. He was on time, he had an understanding of the area and which locations would work best to capture great pictures. He offered tips regarding poses to get the best shots. He delivered the finished photographs on time. The pictures were bright and crisp and I have many options to choose from. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step in the process of working with a new customer is to discuss the needs and expectations of the customer. We believe that building a rapport and an understanding with our customers is the best way to lay down the foundation for a long-lasting relationship.
If the interest to work together is mutual, we would then work out the particulars on a contract and propose it to you before we officially book you for your event.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
One of my good friends influenced my interest in photography. As he was starting out and growing his own business, I became interested in how he was creating these great images. I was fortunate to get the opportunity to work with him as both an assistant and 2nd shooter during weddings he was working. I never thought of myself as someone who was artistic. However, I learned that being a photographer and taking images allowed me to show an artistic side of myself that I didn't know I had.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with a variety of clients. I have done shoots for weddings, engagements, graduation, maternity, portrait, headshots, and family shoots.
