- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off as an intern at the oldest photography studio in Monterey County and after 3 months was hired full time. I worked there for 6 years learning the fundamentals of portrait photography.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for experienced shooters. I started my career shooting film, both medium format and 35mm. With film you had to get it right the first time. With digital photography, the bar was lowered a little, many of the basics, lighting, posing for the formals were lost in the quest for more and more images and quantity doesn't make up for quality sometimes.
