- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Contact the client by phone, or email, set an in-person meeting. We will meet at in a study room at a local library at mid point between our locations. We may also meet on Zoom. 2) Facilitate 4 (2 hour) pre-marital counseling sessions. I use SYMBIS and it provides a foundation for your future relationship. Couples who have been married before glean a great deal of practical wisdom from this program. I will give the couple access to a video program and we will discuss the videos and some workbook material tailored to the couples' needs. Whether co-habitation, third marriage, or first marriage, couples have gleaned wisdom from this program that will help their relationship endure. 3) Wedding Ceremony Planning Session. We will have a 5th session (free) for the purpose of planning your ceremony. This is the time for stories, selecting scripture, songs, poetry. Personalizing your day. 4) Rehearsal. I will arrive forty-five minutes to an hour ahead of time. The wedding party and all folks involved need to be present. I will line up the wedding party how they are to stand. We will walk through the ceremony. 5) Quote without Rehearsal. I will arrive forty-five minutes before the ceremony and line up the entire wedding party, how they will stand. 6) Wedding Ceremony. I will arrive forty-five minutes before the ceremony for a sound check. 7) Day of Wedding Coordinator So you have all the professionals you need but they need to be directed so that your day will go smoothly. I will gladly provide this service for an additional fee of $1500. I will arrive an hour before the ceremony.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Julie M. Harrison, M.A., has a degree in Biblical studies, including courses in Pastoral Counseling, and Crisis Intervention. She is an ordained minister. She is also a Chaplain, certified through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, through which she is also certified to counsel Law Enforcement. She runs a Hospital and Visitation program at her church and she is a Fire Department Chaplain.
