Well timed tasteful & creative music with professional mic work. I've been a full time DJ/Emcee since 2001 (right out of high school!). An 80's baby, and a 90's kid. Passion drives my success, and my customers happiness is my top priority. People deserve to celebrate, sing, and dance! I love watching people truly lose themselves on the dance floor. Music is a gateway to memories from the past, and a tool for creating fun memories for the future. I love my job, and I've been blessed with the opportunity to travel the country performing.

The event went phenomenally and much of the credit can be contributed to the DJ we chose. Everyone had such a great time, a few of our guests even mentioned having Derek be involved with future events. A step above the rest, he was professionally punctual, arriving a bit earlier to get a head start with setting up. He went out of his way to consult the musical tastes of the room which helped to please the crowd. His MCing was always appropriate and timely, and what an astounding mix of music! I am convinced that DJ Derek is as good as they come and worth every penny. Thanks again.

I had a memorial for my late husband and it was very important to me that the music consist of my husband's favorites. Derrick worked with me and made everything stress free for me. Guests commented how good a dj Derrick is and how the music was perfect for the event.

DJ Derek B was the BEST! I found him for a last minute event and it was fate! He was so easy to work with and had the party dancing the ENTIRE time! He knew all the songs to play, it was such a success. I can't wait to have another event so I can hire DJ Derek B again!

We found DJ Derek through Thumbtack, and was immediately impressed with his quick responses to all of our inquiries. Throughout the next month before the party he inquired about preferences and wants/needs so that he could be prepared for the event fully. We really appreciated him taking everything into consideration, especially so since the event was a 80's themed 50th birthday party. He made the process so smooth, and maintained a professional attitude throughout the time. When it came to the day of the party, he was on time. All he asked for from us was a 6ft table to put his gear. During the night he stuck within theme, took requests, and everyone had a blast. He was engaging, and made sure to communicate with the hosts throughout the night. He even last minute allowed us to extend his services for an hour with no complaints. It was overall a great experience and we look forward to our next event working with him.

While living in GA, I started a mobile DJ business, D Street Entertainment in 2001, and have personally trained almost a dozen DJ's & Emcees. I currently represent DJ's that have graduated from The Scratch Academy, worked on cruise ships & currently DJ for DJCity. College Degree = University System of Georgia Bachelor of Science in Communication Currently a full time CA resident!
