I've been actively DJn since the age of 10, started in public venues at 13 and have since perfected the skill of not only DJn, but Event Management, Emceeing, Communication, Crowd Control via Music and much more. I've challenged myself over the years to DJ many type of events more than just once so I fully understand each one thuroughly. With this said, now in my late 20s I am very fluent in all types of events from all aspects listed above to also include event production (lighting, sound, etc) and everything that is included as early as the planning stages. I love that each event is completely unique from others and each event is personal to someone, whether it be a wedding to a bride/groom, a corporate party to a company as a whole, a school prom to each one of the kids attending, or a Mitzvah to the boy/girl its for! Putting smiles on faces from providing great mixes and a smooth running event!

Kris was a great wedding DJ! He had all of the songs we wanted to hear and he did a good job of getting everyone involved in the dancing portion of our wedding. He also made the transitions from one thing to the next run smoothly. We had a wonderful time at our wedding and I can't complain about our DJ. I feel as though he helped make it a memorable night.

Absolutely amazing DJ for our wedding. Worked with us to stay within our budget, and also met with us and gave us a very detailed template for a schedule and 100's of song suggestions for each event (processional song,s first dance, etc.). Then went through the whole form with us again to make sure he would say the wedding party's names right and thought of a ton of stuff I had forgotten. He also doubled as our pseudo wedding planner for the day since ours was horrible. Great personality! Had everyone dancing all night long!! Great transitions from song to song and cut our first dance song exactly where we wanted it cut since we didn't want everyone staring at us for too long!! Will definitely be referring him to our friends/family!

Kris Mullins was the DJ at my twins' B'nai Mitzvah at the Courtyard Marriott Old Town in November 2014. I was really impressed with Kris as a person and a DJ. I met him over Thumbtack. He was the first DJ to respond, and I liked him right away. I never felt the need to interview anyone else. He was also appropriately priced. Over the next few weeks we spoke on the phone and corresponded by email. I asked if we could visit him some evening at a function he was DJ'ing, and we did. Even though the event was a bit wild (not his fault), he presented as a very nice and well-spoken young man who is dedicated to his career. He was very helpful in organizing our event, providing us the format for a timeline and interesting games for the kids to play. We gave him a list of songs we wanted to hear and some artists we preferred not to hear, and he fulfilled our wishes. He seems to have all the latest and greatest equipment one could want, though we were modest in the choices for our small party, and he respected that and didn't try to sell us a huge package. He also has an interesting other business he's working on with his brother - lots of energy and very entrepreneurial! I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

Kris and iLikeThatDJEnt were awesome! We used Kris and Elliot (the DJ) for our Marine Corps Birthday Ball of 600 people. The Ball was downtown, but most Marines stayed long after the ceremony to dance instead of going out to the Gaslamp because the music was that good!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, attend DJ conventions, trade-shows, and seminars for all types of DJ communities and events as some are tailored to specific types of DJs (Wedding, Party, Club, Corporate etc)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Wanted to blend my moms Fleetwood Mac with my dads Tom Petty when I was 9/10 years old. A buddy told me there was a special CD player that could do that. Furthermore he told me there was a job called a DJ that did this. That was it, mind was already made as to what I wanted to do!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings, both Ceremony and Reception seem to be the majority, however all types of events such as Mitzvah's, Military Balls, B-Day Parties, Holiday Parties and more have been serviced, and of course, turned out very well!
