I have been djing weddings and private events for over 12 years and I have a fresh selection of new and classic music to get down to. I specialize in Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Soul, Funk, and Top 40. I also love rock, 80’s, and Latin. I can mix any genre of music. Not only do I DJ, but I also host a lot of events (everywhere from Neo Soul Night at Onyx Room to the the House of Blues downtown) so I have no problem making announcements, helping with the flow of the evening, and entertaining your guests. You will definitely have an amazing night of laughter, heart, and great music for your club, wedding, or event. I will also help plan out the flow of events to make sure things run smoothly.

I have had the pleasure of enjoying many Gill Sotu events where he is DJing and hosting, most recently booking him for a joint graduation party. He was the utmost professional, playing music that matched the vibe and atmosphere. He seamlessly wove in song requests and greatly enhanced the overall experience. At other events, Gill has absolutely shined as a host and performer. His keen sense of intuition about the audience's mood has him launching into a call and response to get the crowd's attention or dropping a few poetry verses that has everyone looking around and shaking their head like "He's got it like that!". I would trust Gill with any type of event, especially if I wanted to impress people!

Gill is very professional, organized and communicates effectively. Gil made our wedding memorable. Not only did he provide great music, he also kept our guests entertained with his humor and wit. He even serenaded us during our first dance. Gil is an amazing performer and wonderful host.

Gill was the DJ at our wedding for both the ceremony and the reception. He met with us before the wedding many times to make sure everything was just right! He was very flexible and attentive to what we needed. Our wedding day went perfect! He made sure all our guests had fun and made the announcements right on time. I would definitely recommend Gill Sotu for any event !
