FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Bentov Builders, our pricing is based on the real scope of work, the materials needed, the level of detail, and the quality of finish the customer wants. We are not the cheapest company, and we are not trying to be. We are a boutique, hands-on construction company that focuses on doing the work correctly, professionally, and with care. I believe in being transparent with pricing from the beginning. Before we start a project, I want the homeowner to clearly understand what is included, what is not included, and where additional costs could come up. If there are options to save money without hurting the quality or safety of the project, I will always explain them. From time to time, we may offer discounts depending on the project, timing, or scope, but I never recommend choosing a contractor only because of a discount. The most important thing is hiring someone who understands the project, communicates clearly, and stands behind the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process starts with listening. I want to understand what the homeowner is trying to achieve, what problems they are trying to solve, what style they like, and what budget range they are comfortable with. After that, we usually schedule a site visit to review the project in person. During the visit, I look at the existing condition, take measurements, ask questions, and explain possible options. I also try to educate the homeowner on what the project may require, including permits, inspections, materials, timeline, and possible challenges. Once we understand the scope, we prepare a clear proposal that explains the work, pricing, and next steps. If the customer decides to move forward, we help organize the project, schedule the work, coordinate materials, and manage the process from start to finish. I stay involved throughout the project. I believe communication is one of the most important parts of construction, and I want every homeowner to feel informed, respected, and comfortable during the process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training comes from real hands-on experience in the construction industry, managing projects, working with trades, solving field problems, and learning how to build correctly according to code, quality standards, and customer expectations. As the owner of Bentov Builders, I am involved directly in the work, planning, coordination, and project management. Over the years, I have gained experience in remodeling, bathrooms, kitchens, exterior construction, decks, hardscape, fencing, waterproofing, and general home improvement projects. I believe construction is something you continue learning every day. Codes change, materials improve, design trends change, and every house has its own conditions. A good contractor needs to keep learning, stay honest, and always be willing to find the right solution.
