We started the daunting task of remodeling our kitchen about six months ago. We were very lucky to have the services of Cynthia Ryan as our kitchen designer. Her level of attention to detail is extraordinary. We were initially overwhelmed with the number of decisions. Cynthia has the ability and patience to walk us through the journey of these decisions one by one educating us on the issues and variation of each decision. In conclusion, we would recommend Cynthia Ryan and CR design to assist anyone who is contemplating a kitchen or bath remodel. Her experience, professionalism and extensive training were highly valued and were the major reason for the success of our kitchen remodel.Nov 1, 2014
Cynthia will be helping us with our kitchen and bathroom updates. She gave us great ideas from the beginning and I can't wait to see to see her final design lay out and materials. DebraAug 21, 2014Verified

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We offer 4 levels of pricing and packages for our clients. They are, Ground Work, Boutique, Studio, and Studio Design-Build. This way clients can choose how much they would like us to help them with and what they would like to accomplish. We offer 'To the Trade' special pricing, and have access to many products not seen on the common market.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We typically speak by phone initially, this way we can get a general sense of what our new client is looking for. This makes it a no pressure environment. They can ask questions. We can also meet for coffee which gives the perspective client the opportunity to meet us and see if they feel we are a good fit. We then go out and view the project, measure, and get the ball rolling!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? The professional societies all require continuing education (CEU's), which I am always ahead of the time line in completing. I hold my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from the highly regarded Design Institute of San Diego. This is more than 4 years of education in the Major. I also hold my Advanced Kitchen and Bath Design Education from Mesa College which is recognized by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. My past background is in Commercial Interiors, Model Homes, and Kitchen and Bath Design. Other education is from the University of Maryland and Maryland Drafting Institute: Graduate of Architectural Drafting. Our Design Assistants generally have a 2 year Degree. It is our belief that: training + education + creativity will give you the best end result possible!
