1up Learning - Tutoring & Test Prep

Hello! My education and experience with diverse student populations allow me to learn how each student learns best and what each student needs in order to be successful. Not only am I a tutor and teacher, but I am also a musician, a DJ, a coach, and an athlete, and I have been successful in each of these areas. In preparing for a performance or competition, weeks and months of preparation often come down to an hour or two to show what you've got. The same goes for preparing for a big test. Not only do I specialize in helping students learn as much as possible as quickly as possible, but I teach them how to prepare so that they show their best work when it matters the most. I have been a math and test prep tutor for over 15 years and a department chair at my high school for the last 5 years. I have a Master's degree in Leadership and Education. I have taught and designed curriculum for all math classes from Pre-Algebra to Calculus BC and Statistics. I am available for tutoring in person or remotely using an online interactive whiteboard system called Groupboard. At the end of each session, I can electronically send notes that we have worked on and also provide you with extra practice that will help reinforce what you learn.
