About
Lessons are taught in my home in the UTC area on a grand piano. I enjoy teaching beginners and advanced students, and my main goal is to give my student a good understanding of music and to make it fun. I prefer to teach children who have learned to read, usually first grade. I have been playing, teaching, performing in bands, and accompanying other musicians for over 40 years. I like to introduce students to all types of music - classical, pop, jazz, broadway musicals. I love music and want you to, too!

Donna is an awesome piano teacher. I had my first lesson a few days ago and felt very comfortable right from the start. She is very prompt, and patient and I am going to continue lessons with her for some time. I would recommend Donna to anyone in the area looking to get into piano lessons for the first time!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began teaching piano when I was in high school (35 years ago-yikes!) and loved experiencing others "get it"! I also learn a lot about my own skills while teaching.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I customize the music to your likes and goals.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The most important thing is whether we are a good teacher / student fit. If you don't like my style, you won't want to learn.
