Was by far the best lesson that I have received, not only did I enjoy the time spent but I also learned a lot. Very well paced lesson and he actually cares about what he’s teaching. His passion for the craft rubs off and makes me want to peruse singing even more now. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for vocal lessons!

Mr. Sutton was such a good teacher. I have a learning disability so the fact that he was able to teach me in ways that worked with it was amazing. He made sure to explain things in ways I could understand especially with proper breath technique. You can tell he likes his job and knows what he’s talking about.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge by the month with one lesson a week. 30 minute lessons - $140 60 minute lessons - $280

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Our first lesson will be fairly straight forward. I want to get to know you and your voice. I’ll ask you several questions about your experience, your music preference and any other hobbies you have. We’ll spend some time with some warm ups and I’ll often finish the lesson by asking to hear a song. Hearing a singer in the context of a song is much different than in warm ups. Don’t be afraid to show off! I want to know what you can do!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I'm currently studying at San Diego State University to earn my BA in Vocal Performance, set to graduate in December. I've been studying the TVS vocal method, an acclaimed modern vocal methodology, under Draven Grey over the past year in order to improve my voice for more intense rock singing.
