In 1997, I began practicing in the area of Federal Indian law and Personal Injury. Because so many poor tribal people had a higher rate of death at the time, I began to focus on Wrongful Death cases by 'accident' or tort. (not medical malpractice). Occasionally I have prosecuted child molesters in tort, on behalf of their victims as well. 80 % of my practice is now is focused on helping new businesses with their Federal Trademark issues. Beginning with a consultation regarding what you are doing and wish to do with your business. Then we proceed to a nationwide search and examination of Trademarked similar names, services or goods, which could bring possible lawsuits down the road, or cause your proposed Federal Trademark to be rejected by the Court. All this before your Federal Trademark Application is filed! I also offer monthly monitoring of your Trademark for to make sure no one is using your hard earned reputation for their own gain without your opposition. Helping people begin their business in a careful, methodical, yet creative way is fun! My background in fabric design helps me to enjoy looking for possible issues with other Federal Trademarks. My services for the new or existing business owners are offered via a beginning retainer of $7,000, which is placed in my trust account for attorney fees. The hourly fee of $450/hour (billed by the quarter hour) will be billed every two weeks from that retainer. If at the end of your filing, there are fees remained in trust, they will be refunded to you. During your retention of my law firm, you will have access to all your records through a private confidential online client portal, you can message me, receive and pay bills through it, see all documents filed and receive a copy of all correspondence sent. Costs for filing and other miscellaneous matters, such as trial, discovery, investigation, deposition etc., are separately charged. I look forward to visiting with you after a brief conflict check. Begin your day with a smile!
