FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quotes largely depend on the scope of work, and I typically bill by the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For our first meeting, I go over any questions I need answered, cover what you need done in more detail, and ask for any helpful materials. If needed, clients can call me or Skype for an additional 'live' meeting during the duration of the project. Then I go away and think think think, research research research, and type type type. Otherwise, everything else is usually email conversations since the bulk of my energy is going towards getting the project written by the deadline. For deliverables, I include the initial meeting to begin the project, then a final meeting at the end (if desired) before submitting the final copy with your requested edits. Naturally, there will be back and forth with emails, particularly with materials gathering and the actual edits themselves.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to my B.A. and Masters (Social Science and Elementary Education, respectively), I have extensive copywriting training with AWAI and Marketing Profs University as well as Writer's Digest and Loyola Marymount University (for grant writing).
