I am a fun, responsible, caring person. I want to make your gathering special. I realize that people tend to gather around a bar, so I am friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful to all guests. I have regular clients that are not on Thumbtack that request my services on a regular basis. I get a lot of referrals from these people, but I'm also enjoying expanding with Thumbtack. I've been a bartender for many years, and I know my way around a cocktail. I can come up with a theme cocktail, help you design a menu, or create a cocktail on the spot. All my regular clients tell me I am a special part of their gatherings. My prices reflect the hours of service I'm offering you. I do have a small charge for glassware, disposable cups, garnishes, and ice, and my great portable bar, but all my bar supplies are included. I hope you'll look at all I have to offer before you choose someone who might charge a little less, or maybe even a little more! Your guests will notice the difference, I guarantee you. That said, I put my heart into everything that I do for your event. The fact that I'm a super nice guy, great with guests, and work hard to make sure your event goes as planned is why I believe I'm always a good choice for your gathering. Just please, realize, this is a business for me, and if you hesitate, I may not be available. I've had many potential clients that I've had to turn down because they waited too long to book me. The fact that I'll also help you with a cocktail menu and a shopping list makes my pricing very reasonable. I love the art of making a really delicious and innovative cocktail. I love meeting new people. I love being able to combine these two in order to make your gathering an event that both you and your guests will remember.

Daniel was amazing and seamlessly handled a lard crowd. We had such a great time and did not worry a thing about the bar during our event. All the guests were very pleased with Daniel’s professionalism and his work. Daniel organized the bar well in advance of the start of the event, planned for all requirements, and stayed a bit longer before he could close the bar! We were really glad we found Daniel to bartend our event!

Daniel was the absolute best and definitely exceeded my expectations! It was my first time using Thumbtack. He responded with the TOTAL price that also includes his portal bar. His price was beyond reasonable for 4 hours, including an actual bar setup! A lot of other bartenders' quotes I got were per hour quotes that didn't include extras like a portal bar, which meant I would have had to rent additional tables for a front end and back end. Days leading up to the party, he helped me with a grocery list and sent me a few drink ideas. Now to the actual party! He arrived an hour before his scheduled time so that he could set up his portal bar, which let me tell you, added the perfect finishing touches. It just made the whole party look way more nice-he had his own area off to the side with the umbrella and everything. He brought his own ice cheeses and extra mini shot cups. All my family/guest loved him! I had about 50 or so people attend. At times, there would be a group of guests crowding around him for drinks, but he kept the conversation with them going and the laughs flowing while making their drinks. We even ran out of a few bottles of alcohol, but he definitely made it work! The kids even loved the Sheryl Temples and a few other virgin drinks he made for them. He also stayed a while extra and helped clean. Overall, he's the bomb.com, and I couldn't have asked for a better bartender for my boyfriend's 25th birthday!

Daniel was GREAT! We hired him for our Holiday party and he was a huge hit. Prior to the party we discussed ideas for signature drinks and he came up with 2 winners. He arrived at our home an hour before the party to setup. He brought his portable bar which was pretty cool. After the party he cleaned up. I can't wait to have another party and have Daniel back to bartend!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
i generally charge $40-50 an hour for a bartending event. I vary the price from $30-$40 for some catering events, depending on what services the client wants and how many people I will be serving. This may seem steep at first, but I guarantee you, it comes with many perks. I have a great portable bar that I am happy to bring. I have a collection of glassware that I will bring for an extra $20-$40, depending on the # of guests I will be serving. I bring all supplies needed to make great cocktails and serve beer and wine as well. Some catering companies charge extra for every little thing, and by the headcount, but I don't. I am happy to bring anything the client wants within reason. I prefer the client provide ice and liquor for the event, as it gets cumbersome to bring all my supplies, my bar, etc., but if it is absolutely necessary, I work with the client to get what he or she needs at the event with minimal burden to us both.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally contact the guest through Thumbtack first, and then give my personal cell phone. Then I either contact the guest, or ask them to contact me. I have an event sheet that I go through with the client, and ask them about any special details like specialty cocktails or supplies that the host would like me to bring. I am then happy to suggest cocktails that I believe are delicious and popular. I am happy to send a list for the client to choose from, or have them suggest some to me. In the end, I put together a shopping list if the client requests it. I keep in contact with the client up until the event, and check back with them after to see how they feel everything went.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been bartending in restaurants and clubs since I was of legal age. I know the restaurant business inside and out, and I still work as a professional bartender and server in a restaurant. I keep abreast of the latest trends in cocktails and spirits, and am always trying to learn more about my craft. I love what I do, and it shows.
