Introduction: I am extremely passionate about dance and it's superpowers. I have been dancing through most of my life and I am truly excited to share my love of dance with others. I believe that anyone is capable of learning how to dance when taught in a way that is tailored to the student. Dance is everything for me and when I can share that with others and allow them the space to feel even if just a portion of what I feel about dance, I know that I have done my job. I love seeing couples reconnect, single people find their confidence, and people of all backgrounds come alive! I love spreading the joy dance gives me to others. Learning dance from Genevieve was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I really only intended to learn enough salsa to survive a wedding in Puerto Rico and I ended up staying with her for 4+ years and learned over 10 different dance styles. It’s definitely been fun and a great way to channel my passions. She’s really patient and breaks things down in easy ways where people who don’t feel they are natural dancers will learn and feel accomplished. She’s also great at modifying a lesson plan to focus on things that are important to her students. For me, I put a priority on social dancing as opposed to the “formal” part of it all. She was happy to accommodate, and oftentimes, I’d learn that had I followed the structure, I would’ve gotten to my social dancing goal faster. She’s a great teacher and a great dancer and a great person to be around. I worked hard, felt good about myself, exercised and laughed a lot in my time with her.

I signed up with Genevieve hoping to learn how to Salsa dance. I learned much more than I ever imagined! She taught me the small, but important details of rhythmic foot, arm, and hand control giving me the confidence to lead any dance partner!! Not only is Genevieve a world-class dancer; her instruction is challenging, yet fun, and her honest, professional feedback has definitely helped me improve my Salsa dance skills. With consistent work and taking lessons with Genevieve; I was Salsa dancing within weeks, plus she helped me earn a certificate as a Tango dancer!! Learning to dance with Genevieve is truly worth the investment that will benefit you at any time; any occasion; on any dance floor!!

I have the best dancing teacher I ever had since I took up dancing lesion with Genevieve Paz. Besides the above three qualities, one get more from her in learning not just dancing but on self's confidant. Her skills are not just teaching one to dancing. She also teaching me how to interpret the music for that dance, the style, the feeling, so the dancing become a story telling and is a special form of art! most of all is fun! Genevieve communicate well with her students. Some person can dance real well but have trouble to teach. Genevieve not just can dance well preforming well. She also have the teaching skills that can teach! so one can understand the required skill to preform the dance they have learned to do, to dance. I highly recommend Genevieve Paz to those who is seeing for a teacher that knows how to teach about all dances that one would like to learn to dance. FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a 30 minute trial lesson to get a feel for how I teach and so that I can also get a feel for what you want out of your dancing. From there I will let you know about the packages of lessons I have to offer and we figure out the best one for your personal dance goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a few ballroom dance certifications. I have also studied Flamenco in Spain and have a 200 hour Yoga certification. I love any and all movement and am constantly looking to improve not only my own personal dancing but my teaching as well.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been dancing all my life and about 12 years ago when I realized I could share my joy of dance for a living I never looked back!
