I am extremely passionate about dance and it's superpowers. I have been dancing through most of my life and I am truly excited to share my love of dance with others. I believe that anyone is capable of learning how to dance when taught in a way that is tailored to the student. Dance is everything for me and when I can share that with others and allow them the space to feel even if just a portion of what I feel about dance, I know that I have done my job. I love seeing couples reconnect, single people find their confidence, and people of all backgrounds come alive! I love spreading the joy dance gives me to others. With a little patience, time and energy I can help you achieve your dance goals!

Dancing with and learning dancing from Genevieve is one of the best experiences I've every had. Her positive attitude about dance and movement is infectious. She always found ways to have a successful lesson, even when I was struggling with a particular movement or lead. No matter how crazy my life was, I would look forward to our lesson as a high point of my week. Genevieve always found a way to get me out of my head into my body, especially my feet. There were times it felt like she was teaching me to fly. She taught me over 20 dances, but my favorite was getting into the soul of Argentine tango.

I signed up with Genevieve hoping to learn how to Salsa dance. I learned much more than I ever imagined! She taught me the small, but important details of rhythmic foot, arm, and hand control giving me the confidence to lead any dance partner!! Not only is Genevieve a world-class dancer; her instruction is challenging, yet fun, and her honest, professional feedback has definitely helped me improve my Salsa dance skills. FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a 30 minute trial lesson to get a feel for how I teach and so that I can also get a feel for what you want out of your dancing. From there I will let you know about the packages of lessons I have to offer and we figure out the best one for your personal dance goals!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a few ballroom dance certifications. I have also studied Flamenco in Spain and have a 200 hour Yoga certification. I love any and all movement and am constantly looking to improve not only my own personal dancing but my teaching as well.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been dancing all my life and about 12 years ago when I realized I could share my joy of dance for a living I never looked back!
