FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education continues all the time. Besides meeting new dogs and bringing them into the fold constantly, I study outside of work as well. I read as much as I can get my hands on, order training DVD's, attend seminars, listen to trainer podcasts in the car, and read studies and articles on the net. I wan't to be at the top of the dog walking game, but I have aspirations to be at the top of the dog training world too.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
A typical day for us is one morning group and one afternoon group at Crissy Beach. I would arrive at your home to pickup your dog and we would travel by car to the beach. Once at the beach it's only a short walk until the leash comes off and we spend at least an hour there moving as much as we can. Afterward we drop your tired pup off at home to nap until you arrive.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you meet your dog walker and sit down with them. You should both feel comfortable with each other and hit it off well. I should also say make sure your dog walker is fit. I don't mean any disrespect but I see a lot of overweight dog walkers - people who practically work out for a living, or should anyway. Make sure you are going to get what you paid for: exercise, training, socialization and a whole lot more. If you'd like to meet the team member I pair your dog with I will set that meeting up post haste.
