I had an amazing portrait photoshoot with Gulsum in June 2020, in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. I enjoyed it so much! During my session, I changed two outfits. Gulsum knows the secrets of framing around the streets, Mission murals and graffities, Victorian buildings, with flowers that made my portraits so lovely, interesting, and fun. Gulsum was mindful about the natural lighting. I felt so comfortable to share my thoughts to find some original ideas together and appreciate that a photographer could guide me well how to pose naturally. I love my photoshoot and photos! Month later, we hired Gulsum again for a new photoshoot together with my partner.

Gulsum is an amazing photographer, very easy to work with! She knows tons of interesting locations in the city and the best time of the day to make your best shots! She also does her post photo shoot work fast and accurate. I love her pictures! With Gulsum’s shots I was able to get a job at one of the modelling agencies in SF. I strongly recommend this photographer for your best photo shoot!

Wow! The pictures Gulsum took at our sons Bar Mitzvah are beautiful! She did such a wonderful job of capturing a mix of candid shots and posed shots. I love her style and we couldn’t have asked for more.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    My dad was an amateur film photographer and I always enjoyed to join him in a dark room, and then look through the photos he made. At 11, he gave me first film camera and I got involved into photography. Later I got myself fist DSLR camera and took few photography courses and went to travel the world which allowed me to hone my skills and turned this hobby into passion
