Everyone LOVES the photos from our engagement, and we are incredibly happy Steven was the one who captured this event forever!! I booked with Steven because he gets candid emotion incredibly well, and wow he delivered!! Booking. Steven was a total pro. He responded quickly and gave helpful suggestions while I was trying to figure out the location. His schedule also allowed him to do a bit of scouting. The actual day. Steven showed up before the agreed upon time and we walked around the location to talk about my plan and make sure he knew where he needed to be. Before my (then girlfriend) showed up, he kept me calm and relaxed. During the shoot, Steven was excellent at both capturing the moment and letting my fiancé and I feel were were alone in the moment. He did an great job managing the natural lighting, and structuring beautiful compositions. We have so many great and diverse shots it's incredible. After the shoot. Steven texted me a dozen edited photos within two hours for us to share with family and friends (and Insta). Then within a week, Steven shared a link for all of the high resolution files! Looking at the photos this past weekend brought us to tears again because the photos were so beautiful, we relived it. Us, our families and our friends are grateful for all of Steven's photos.

What can I say.. Steve was the perfect photographer for what I needed! Out the gate he made sure to understand my needs and make specific recommendations that would ultimately help me decide what to wear and where to shoot. Taking photo's isn't exactly my thing but Steve made sure to keep me comfortable and help me get the photo I needed. I'm happy that I chose Steve on Thumbtack, not necessarily because of his good rating but more so because of the quality of his work. It's pretty easy to tell when you are working with a tenured professional. I'd be happy to recommend anyone to Steve.

Steven was amazing from the beginning. We booked last minute after another photographer flaked on us and I could not be happier with our destiny. He showed up before us and already had a plan. We did a civil ceremony at city Hall then a casual gathering at Delores Park a few days later. While at city Hall, not only did he know all the amazing spots, but also knew not only how to get around, but also was able to guide us for all the technical stuff with the county clerk. One of the best ways that he excelled was getting our crazy family to smile and follow directions. Everyone commented on how nice and effortless it was to work with him. The other great thing I loved that was within a few hours he emailed me with a handful of pics to use to post on our social media! I am beyond grateful that Steven shot our special day. Thank you Steven!!!

Steven photographed me for a professional head shot. He put me at ease right away, and the experience was enjoyable and efficient. He's an excellent photographer and followed up with me with the finished photos soon after the photo shoot. I highly recommend Steven Underhill and will ask him to photograph me in the future if needed.

Steve did a fantastic job with our wedding photos, so when I needed a publicity headshot for a historical publication, I knew who to turn to. He was generous with his time, knew all the good places to take photos and made the whole process fun. The photos worked out really well and conveyed exactly what I was hoping for: an author who looked professional, but also approachable, warm and not just another stuffy academic. He has a talent for taking natural looking photos that present you at your best (I swear he uses a magical lens that makes your skin clearer than it is!). Absolutely worth it :)
