Introduction: I'm a golf clubfitter for a chain-wide golf equipment retail store company and used to teach under my father who was a golf instructor as well.
Since I'm more of a private contractor, I spend a lot of time at my primary job clubfitting golfers. When I teach I believe in making the learning process as simplified as possible, whether it be trying to teach a feel on holding a golf club or trying to demonstrate very limited mechanics depending on what the big weaknesses are of the golf student.
I believe that the short-game practicing is the key element of this game, and a lot of my former students have greatly benefited from that part of my teachings.
