Bay Area Hypnotherapy (Lynn and James)
About this pro
We (Jim and Lynn) have been happy "newlyweds" for over 30 years, sharing common interests and passions. This makes our practice unique, with each of us sharing our special strengths and talents, truly complimenting one another. Clients get "two for one" when they sign up with us, as it is not uncommon for a client to meet individually one time with me and another time with Lynn, making sure the client meets with the person with the specific expertise to assure success. Our clients get the full advantage of each one's unique expertise and specialty services. Both of us are highly skilled hypnotherapists but with specialities in different areas. I have over forty years of counseling experience and specialize in addiction and 12-step support, family and relationship problems, memory/recall (test taking), spirituality and resolution of traumatic events. Lynn specializes in smoke cessation, building confidence and self-esteem, weight management, and professional development (e.g. accomplishing goals, public speaking, procrastination). Of course, both of us handle many other concerns and we consult each other regularly to be sure each client receives the very best we can offer. We absolutely love helping people re-write the scripts of their lives. No one has to live in someone else's movie. We are passonate about our work and excited for each and every one of our clients. We enjoy teaching and guiding our clients to a new and more vigorous life.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Any one who is seriously considering the potentially life changing results of hypnotherapy will start with serious questions and concerns. Be sure to do your homework and be sure you choose a hypnotherapist who you can relate to -- and one who is compassionate, empathetic, and competent. Referrals from friends and wellness or medical professionals can be a start. Organizations such as The National Guild of Hypnotists, The American Association of Professional Hypnotherapists, The World Hypnosis Organization or The American Hypnosis Association could also be a source of information and referrals. Always confirm that the hypnotherapist is certified. The National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc.is an excellent educational resource. NGH is a not-for-profit, educational corporation in the State of New Hampshire. Officially founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1950 the Guild is a professional organization comprised of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism.
