FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a very fair, very competitive rate based on the entire scope of the project that is priced out as a flat fee versus hourly. I am super transparent when it comes to my pricing, and will never try to up-sell a client on anything, even though my business model is based on the fact that I do make the majority of my living off of furniture sales. I will always pick the best piece for the job whether it’s $100 or $1000. That being said, I won’t sleep until you’re happy!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will always meet with a client before committing to a new job. Again (re above!) I feel it’s so important to make sure it’s a good fit both personally and aesthetically, as this process is deeply personal, and I would prefer to decline an opportunity, and guide a potential client toward a better suited designer than take one on that doesn’t feel like the right fit. I will go through the scope of the project with them, making sure to cover their goals for the space, how they plan on using each area, and requesting to see inspiration imagery. Talking about budget and timelines up front is key! It is something that must be established from the beginning, as everyone must be on the same page throughout from the start.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
