I'm passionate about designing spaces meant to live & love in. With a background in psychology, my interior design career is all about creating environments that enrich your quality of life. Every home is as unique as my clients, reflecting their style, their passions, their travels and their personality.
Two of my core beliefs are that everyone has a beautiful style within them, just waiting for me to bring it out. And that everyone can have a beautiful home that represents them, no matter the budget.
I've worked in all areas of the home, including kids and nursery spaces.
Whatever the space, I love creating bright, clean spaces with an eclectic touch. I always try to incorporate a stand out, unique element that just takes the space to the next level. I look forward to working together and creating a space you'll love to live in.
I believe your home should rise up to meet you and I love creating that experience for my clients. I approach the design process as more of a partnership. Working closely with my clients, I love using my psychology background to help couples come together and to help clients discover their unique style.
I really enjoy the problem solving aspect of my work, finding the purpose, problems and potential of a space. Like designer Emily Henderson, I believe an object or piece of furniture should be either functional, beautiful, or sentimental and if can be all three then that is design magic.
I love building a connection with clients because it is then that I do my best work. Interior design should be a fun process for both my clients and I. I'm passionate about what I do and usually that passion rubs off on my clients and I get to watch them grow to love the design process as well.

We hired Hanniel to help us to redesign our dated living room. She is absolutely amazing - she transformed our living room to a beautiful mid-century modern design. Her eye and creativity are both incredible. From updating light fixtures, paint, window dressings, wall hangings, chairs, art, plants. She was soup to nuts. Every time we have new guests to our home-they always comment on the beautiful design. We are so pleased with her work we continue to use her for redesign of our master bedroom, bath, and our kids bedrooms and playroom.

In our new home I wanted to use transitional styles: mingling mid-century modern, vintage farmhouse & contemporary styles… Not asking for much, huh? Also, wanted to mix some rough & natural textures on accessories with some sleek & some bling. Really thought no one could or would want to go with all that, but Hanniel John took time getting to know me.
Almost like a Design Doctor, she got together a strategy for the design of a couple rooms first (respecting that I was not so sure it could all be done within my budget). At the final reveal Hanniel made me cry tears of joy. She did our central room (like a fancy family room) & the combo Living/Dining area on-budget (with just two small adjustments where I decided to go with higher quality accessories).
There's no way to express in print how it feels when your home reflects your creative side, within your budget, and, simply makes you feel super happy to be home (& show it off too). Clearly, to Hanniel John, design is not just a business, but a calling she is gifted for.
P. S. She has curated thousands of items in her own files, and knows quite a bit about antiques, which was really handy for my project.

Hanniel is a ton of fun to work with!
She mad what my husband and I thought was going to be a stressful project into a fun one. We really enjoyed working with her to design our bland place. She not only found great furniture pieces, she also made sure it was a good deal and affordable. She was very sensitive to our tight budget. In the end, she did an amazing job and went above and beyond our expectations. Not only does our home look AMAZING, it's also super comfortable and cozy. We now love coming to our beautiful home. Using Hanniel as our interiordesigner was the best decision! I recommend her without hesitation. Thanks Hanniel!

Hanniel is a genius. When my husband and I moved in together after we got married, we realized neither of us really knew what our style was as both of us mostly had hand-me down furniture/decor. She not only helped us figure out what each of us liked, but she helped us figure out how to merge our styles together and both feel in love with our space. She helped us sort through our current items and even showed us the potential in some of our items we didn’t even know we could love. I love the way she makes a space feel clean and beautiful, yet still so practical (as a lover of organizing, practicality is key for me). Not to mention that she is a breeze to work with and made the whole process actually fun. In the end I loved working with Hanniel so much that I recommended her to my boss, who is now working with her on their third project!

Hanniel was great to work with and most importantly we loved her work. We used her to update our living room and it couldn't have turned out better. It was the perfect balance between home and style. She does this by interviewing you and always knowing the perfect questions to ask and quickly comes up with great solutions. We never felt pushed into anything but she led us to create a beautiful space that had our mark on it. She's very passionate about her work and isn't satisfied until you're happy. You can count on her to follow through and stay on budget.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As an LLC. I receive discounts on materials, furniture and decor and I pass that discount on to my clients. I do not take a percentage of purchases like other designers. My goal is to use your budget as effectively as I can to enhance the space.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do an initial meeting, where we go over the problems, purpose and potential of the space as well as budget. I then create a design with several options and present it to the client. From there we make decisions together throughout the process and I bring it all together before the deadline.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Psychology, which I use daily in my interior design work. After college in 2008, I decided to follow my dream and pursue Interior Design. I worked as a design assistant for years before starting my own business in 2010.
