Swedish massage (standard),
Deep tissue massage,
My wife really enjoyed her massage from Dessi. She was informative in explaining how she goes about working those knots/pain points out, and did a great job.Jun 22, 2019Verified
Dessi is an excellent massage therapist, and I thoroughly enjoyed our session. She's kind and patient and has amazing strength and skills for her massage work. I plan to go back to her soon!Nov 28, 2018Verified
Dessi was very professional and quick in her responses with me! The massage was firm and it's clear that she's very experienced. I would hire her again!Dec 27, 2018Verified
Dessi focused on my neck area with good strong pressure and put me in positions which allowed for her to really get to the source of the problem (i.e. neck muscle contracting on a nerve.) I feel tremendously better with more range of motion in my neck and a lot less pain. Dessi's studio is very clean and in a nice neighborhood. I have had numerous massages in the past from other therapists, I can honestly say Dessi has been the best so far.Dec 16, 2018Verified
Fantastic massage with Dessi and I have been all over town. She is extraordinarily intuitive and strong. Really helped me with tight and sore muscles. Can't wait to return!Sep 20, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I work in 75-min and 90-min increments and the cost is 1.25 x or 1.5 x the hourly rate, respectively. Thumbtack customers enjoy DISCOUNTS at certain times of the year, so check specifics on my profile.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The objectives and SYMPTOMS of a client for each session drive the kind of work that we do and the technique we use. Before your session you will receive an email confirmation for your appointment and a 24-hour reminder. To approach your body in an informed way, I will ask about background to your injury and symptoms and whether you have had surgeries or broken bones. For clinical work, we invest the beginning of our first session to discuss in detail HISTORY of INJURIES and medical interventions, as well as ASSESSING MOVEMENT.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have extensive training in ANATOMY, HUMAN MOVEMENT and NEUROLOGY through course work in neuro-kinesiology, active release techniques, human gait and human development. One of the best teachers is my own body - I use for my own maintenance the same approach my clients experience.
