Good masseuse, but horrible, sticky butter oil which made the massage less pleasant. It detracted from an otherwise great massage.Oct 10, 2017Dessi I.'s reply
Sorry to hear that the shea butter didn't work well for you. It's the healthiest and least slippery way to access the tissue effectively. Perhaps we should have used less. Thank you for your feedback!
I moved to SF two years ago, and been looking for a good deep tissue massage since then, almost in a monthly basis. I exercise daily and have back pain issues maybe because I work in front of a computer long hours. She really knows the body and how is connected in a muscular but also in a neural level. I was skeptical at the beginning so I booked an hour massage and for the first time in two years I wanted more. The benefits of her technique on my body lasted for almost a week. It is a great investment so I will do it weekly. I highly recommend her. She is very professional.Oct 4, 2017Verified

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is on my website - always CONSISTENT for 60 minutes and additional increments of an hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The objectives and SYMPTOMS of a client for each session drive the kind of work that we do and the technique we use. Before your session you will receive an email confirmation for your appointment and a reminder 24 hours prior. To approach your body in an informed way, I will ask about background to your injury and symptoms and whether you have had surgeries or broken bones. For clinical work, we spend ~20min before our session discussing HISTORY of INJURIES and medical interventions, as well as ASSESSING MOVEMENT.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have extensive training in ANATOMY, HUMAN MOVEMENT and NEUROLOGY through course work in neuro-kinesiology, active release techniques, human gait and human developmental positions. One of the best teachers is my own body - I use for my own maintenance the same approach my clients experience.
