David has been working for us for two weeks and is doing a very good job. He has put in garage stairs, sheet rock repair, molding around doors and rehanging doors that stick. He arrives on time and goes right to work. It is hard finding a "universal" handyman and I certainly would recommend David. We will continue to use him as we have other projects.

I hired Jasper from My Apartment Is Better Than Yours. I think they did a terrific job at a very reasonable price. I'm really pleased that I decided to go with them. I had a number of unusual carpentry tasks to complete when I moved to my new place. The windows were old and the wood was irregular and moldy, so the wood around the antique glass panels needed to be replaced. I was told those windows hadn't been opened in 40 years, but now they work perfectly and you'd never know the wood wasn't original. Also, several doorways lacked doors when I moved in, and were unusual rounded shapes cut into the stucco without doorframes. Jasper was able to make me custom doors with antique iron-wrought handles, and they look awesome. I also needed threshholds worked on, cabinets put up, new benches made for my roof deck, a custom projector and screen put in, antique chandeliers installed, a lock repaired... and I'm probably forgetting one or two things. They are in the process of putting the finishing touches on my humidor (they had to build me custom legs for it), and it's going to look spectacular. Anyway, they knocked it all out of the park. They were prompt and clean and didn't cause much of a disturbance despite all the work they were doing. They'll be my go-to for anything I need done in the future. I definitely recommend them.

Conn recently built a custom railing for our interior stairs. He was meticulous and easy to work with - his work is impeccable and rates are reasonable. Highly recommend.

Great job on replacing our railing and balusters. Old railing was an unstable metal structure with too big of gaps between the balusters, Victor installed solid wood posts and wrought iron balusters to the design we wanted. He did good work, final result looks just like we wanted, and did a good job fixing all holes/scratches from old railing and installation process. The reasons why I'm taking off one star are that work took longer than previously planned, so final cost was higher than expected (by 15%). He did put in a couple of hours on top of the final charge, so I appreciated that to offset the delays. The work was overall pretty clean, though on the second layer of wood stain (on the rail and posts) there was a good sized stain left on the carpet that I'm not sure anything will really take out without damage to the carpet. Overall, reliable and quality work, will use his services again for other house repairs/renovations.

I hired Marc to fix a frameless glass shower door that had slipped over time. This is a very heavy glass door that was very difficult for me to fix on my own. I tried and failed. Then I called Marc. He got in touch with me promptly and quoted me for one hour of work ($80) to fix the door. It actually took him a little longer, so he asked for $120, which I thought was fair, considering my door is larger than average and harder to fix. He worked hard, was knowledgable, and personable. $80/hour is a bit steep, but I'd probably still hire Marc for future handy work around the house. I recommend you give him a call if you need something fixed.

Alex was great! We hired him to do the floor tiles in our bathroom. When that went great, he said he could do the backsplash in our kitchen. Both jobs were timely and turned out super. Next we needed help with the stairs for our back deck. Alex took on the job and also finished building out the deck, stairs and railing. He delivered on time and within budget -- two things that aren't easy to come by. We highly recommend working with Alex.

Steve has been a great professional to work with. He has helped me redo a weather stricken wet back wall, replace windows, set an emergency exit from the main floor to the yard, install a sliding glass door, paint two bedrooms upon completion of exterior construction and more. Always a professional quote and very helpful in doing the jobs as affordable as possible. My kids loved his mentoring as they moved into their rooms about wall switches and lighting and we were very fortunate to find him. Currently, saving money to redo the kitchen with him! Thanks Steve We will see you soon, Dianne & Kids

Edwin did a magnificent job for me. He fixed our stair railing, garage door, installed a new garbage disposal and installed our new double Bosch Oven which needed the cabinet to be strengthened and redone. Overall could not be happier with the quality of the work he did. On time and on budget.

Sean is everything you could want to tackle your handyman projects! He is flexible and detail oriented. He has all his own tools and is great at listening AND making suggestions. Just what I needed! He came early to assess my rather unusual requests (door repair, deck cleaning) and was extremely professional. He has a friendly demeanor and seems to really enjoy helping out. He was always upbeat (even though I'm sure my tasks weren't the most exciting!) and was even willing to come back the next day to finish the door repair to allow more drying time. He was always mindful of the time agreed upon, has very reasonable rates for such a range of skills and experience, and was very generous with his time and effort; doing a quality job was a priority. I only wish I had something that would utilize his more creative talents with wood-working and inlays. He is a licensed contractor, so, even as he worked on my requests, he made other suggestions such as getting my outlet fixed (yikes!) to ensure safety. Sean really wanted to be sure the job met my expectations, did a top-notch job, and was always professional, positive, and funny. I was very pleased with his work. Hire him! You won't be disappointed.

Jean Luc remodelled our bathroom 3 years ago and we still love it. He is a real artist and was a huge help to us in making decisions. He was invaluable when it came to picking a color for the walls, building and tiling a new shower, puting in the floor and baseboard. Everything about the experience was good. He worked hard, had good people with him when needed. He helped us think about things that we hadn't. We would hire him again in a minute if we need a contractor. Maureen

Justin is top knotch! We originally hired him to do demo on our 1 story flat to prepare it for remodeling but ended up hiring him for the whole job. He works really hard and is really fast but does an amazing job. He is knowledgeable and had experience in pretty much everything we needed to accomplished for our remodel. Electrical, plumbing, gas lines, cabinetry, moldings, flooring,(both new wood floors and tile) home security, new windows and doors. He did is all himself or with a few laborers and we couldn't be happier with the results. We will definitely be calling on him again in the future!
