FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Not only am I a personal trainer, but I am also a PhD researcher in the field of Exercise Physiology. I am currently conducting my doctoral research in the culturally rich city of San Francisco. My research interests include assessing athletic readiness, injury prevention, blood-flow restricted exercise, and body composition. In addition to collaborating on research and philanthropy projects, I am also teaching several undergraduate courses at the University of Hawaii's department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a personal trainer, make sure you have personalities that work well together. You may like everything about their credentials, but if you don't feel comfortable or motivated when working with them, you won't enjoy the experience. You will be spending a lot of time with your trainer, make sure you like them!
