- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our first meeting will be on me! We can also do a preliminary FaceTime or Zoom meeting to see if its a good fit. My rates are flexible but the money must sustain... I offer 1st night of a first time booking discount of 20%. Holiday rates are a bit higher but I am not booked yet for Memorial Day or Independence day. Additional pets are $25 each. One dog is $125 per night. You have 2 weeks to cancel a booking and then its a 50% balance due. I ask for 50% as a deposit to hold your dates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first day I stay with your pet almost all day. Its important as I can let them familiarize. Day 2: when i go on an errand or to get a coffee, if I can, i take your dog along and we sit on the patio, where water and dog treats and attention are provided. If I cannot take a pet along, i am back home within 1-2 hours or according to your specifications. Hanging out at a nearby cafe, shopping, working or relaxing at home — this is my lifestyle. I stay close to my pet charges because I enjoy them and being alone is just not fun for either of us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 2 years of consecutive work experience, mostly via Rover.com. Under my profile, there are 18 positive former client reviews, 5 stars and 3 repeat clients. What I would like to know about your pet: Character, health, age, weight, habits and quirks. What is the thing that can trigger and how do we avoid it? Do I need to charm them into eating the kibble? If something happens, what is my strategy? Medical issues or medication needs. Activity level and any sensitive spots. I love seniors as well as a puppy. I will pellet you with questions so that I am not left guessing and you know that the details of your home and animal are organized in my head and notebook. I plan ahead and I use my 5 years of experience to make this a positive experience for everyone. Sometimes its the quality of the questions asked that shows expertise.
