Chantelle listened and responded to my needs. She understood what type of event I was attending and my desire to 'look like myself, just better' and not go overboard. She nailed it and was done in the time we allotted, 1.5 hours. I would definitely recommend her. She was also very punctual.

About this pro

My service is unusual because I work with my clients from start to finish; beginning with hair styling and makeup application the actual photo shoot and finishing with the final photo edits. As a makeup artist I have the power to help people see their own beauty more clearly. As a hairstylist I frame that canvas and as a photographer I capture and preserve that perfect pairing. The best part of my job is my clients. I am a person who values relationships and while I do their hair and makeup I build a very strong connection with my clients. This personal relationship is very valuable when it comes time for the photo shoot because the rapport we have developed helps my subjects to feel relaxed in front of the camera. I especially love working closely with my brides to make them feel beautiful and natural on their special day.

    Q & A

    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm constantly reading, watching videos and taking workshops or classes to improve my skill set.
    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
From my first visit to a makeup counter there was never a question in my mind of what I wanted. I had been coloring and painting since childhood, at twelve picked up my first mascara and I have not looked back since. I turned to photography because after I had been doing hair and makeup for ten years I was tired of seeing my work washed down a drain at the end of a day. I wanted to take capturing the images of my art into my own hands.
    • What types of customers have you worked with?
Studio portraits and headshots as well as large bridal parties and natural airbrush makeups.
