About
I’m a piano teacher, voice teacher and singer-songwriter coach with over 20 years of experience, dedicated to helping students build skill, ease and confidence. My students have been accepted into prestigious programs like the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts for piano performance, successfully auditioned for college musicals, and even launched their own gigging careers. I hold a degree in classical piano performance and spent 20 years in advanced level choirs. I’ve also released seven full-length albums and toured internationally as a recording and performing singer-songwriter. My approach is all about meeting students where they are—I focus on what excites them musically, so they can grow in the direction that’s most meaningful to them, whether that’s classical mastery, live performance, songwriting, or beyond.

I cant say enough great things about Amys piano teaching.Ive known Amy for years as a fellow SF musician, whos music Ive really enjoyed! Shes a classically trained artist and her superior level of musicianship is always obvious in her productions.Ive been incredibly impressed with her as my daughters piano teacher! Shes so supportive and organized and professional. She always made SImone (who was shy) feel at ease. When Simone decided (after only about a year of playing piano) that she wanted to spend the following 15 months preparing to audition for Ruth Asawa SOTA, Amy committed to that goal.I was able to witness Amys dedication, patience, and expertise during those months (thanks to Covid forcing lessons to be over video conference) - I know my daughter put in a ton of work and effort on her own, but having Amys input and guidance was, I believe, critical to her success.

Wow, thank you so much, Suzanne! Teaching Simone was an absolute pleasure. I’m grateful I had the honor of being her teacher.

Amy is a wonderful teacher. I've been taking piano lessons with her for 2 years. I came in as a total beginner and Amy has helped me build a solid foundations. She's chill, gives clear feedback, and makes me excited to keep learning and improving. She's also flexible when it comes to scheduling, and she communicates promptly and clearly over text in between lessons. 5 stars!
