Unlike a traditional music lesson company, Reverb Lessons has designed its customer experience around you: simply sign up online, book a time with your instructor and explore your creative side. You have the choice of taking lessons online, at the instructor's location, or at your place whatever works best for you. All payment is taken care of head of time, so no need to worry about having cash for your lesson. Reverb Lessons puts all of its teachers through a rigorous interview process, ensuring that only the best instructors help you learn the play the music you love. My request was handled by Jason. He was very responsive and helpful in breaking down the different packages. Some sort of grid breaking down all the options would have been ideal, but after a bit of back and forth, I figured out what was right. I had a lesson with Chirs Braun, who was excellent. Good personality, very talented, and also tapped into the SF music scene. He plays in his own band and had just come from a friend's show. It's cool to learn from someone who's active in SF.

I took piano lessons with Marissa - she was very flexible in terms of her schedule, and created a lesson plan around my learning goals. I've never played piano or sung before, but felt very comfortable to jump right in.

It was a little complicated getting the lesson lined up and using the site. Also, I get a little confused with multiple emails from thumbtack and Reverb. In the end I am happy with the teacher and love that he provides lessons at a wonderful site, the Jazzschool.
