From my first interaction with Sara over TT to when she met me at my home to provide a quote was ah-mazing. She knows what she is doing. I was doing my due-diligence and got 3 quotes from other landscapers (including Magnificent), their quote and energy was the best! When you find good people you know it! So this is how my experience went: Submitted what I was looking for via TT Got a message from Sara Scheduled a time for her to come out to give a quote Got a quote the next day Approved the quote and scheduled a start day which was 3 days after Paid my deposit, they got started The estimated time was a week, but they did it in 72 hrs aka three days. Was and am I happy! ummm yea! I got exactly what I wanted and made some really cool friends. That's a Win-Win! ============== If you are looking for good people, good service, good everything - use these folks!
Have been working with Ricardo for quite a while now & work is impeccable. Replaced lawn for pavers & extended a concrete walkway. No more maintenance & it’s worth it. Team did a great job
Estate Scapes is excellent - friendly, flexible and reasonable fees with excellent service! I have never written a review before but feel that I need to do one for David, owner of Estate Scapes. With our children grew up and no longer use the pool in the back, my wife and I decided that we wanted to redo the backyard. At the same time we wanted to redo our fence and the front yard as well. Our goal was to have a minimal maintenance yard (we both hate to do any yard work) and low water use. After we have our in-ground pool filled up, we talked to several contractors and selected David because on 1st impression we felt that he was earnest and listened to our ideas. We were right all the way! Davis worked with us and responded extremely timely to our questions and requests including changes in the original plan such as changing the type of concrete we used, changing the design and materials use for our front brick wall, etc. He listened and gave us recommendations that worked really well with what we want. Our neighbor was so happy with his work on our fence that he talked with David to get his other fence done. We also was so happy that we hired David to redo our patio in the backyard as well as the front door steps. With the beautiful yard that David created for us we felt it was a crime to leave the old patio and front door step which looked so out of place with our new yard. David is finishing up on our patio now, just need to put up the gazebo we got from Costco and apply sealer on our concrete. I was going to write a review after everything was done but so excited about what David did that I could not wait. I highly recommended David to any one who wants to do any landscape.
backyard maintenance and revamping the look of our garden. Dan has been responsive and easy to work with. He brought a lot of ideas I loved. Will update with photos once it's been done!
Mario Landscaping did a great job in drought proofing my yard. He had great suggestions. He completed the job in a few days. Mario is a jack of all trades he even fixed are bathroom faucet. I would hire him again.
We hired Geoffrey to do many things around our house both inside and out. He trimmed trees, an oleander hedge and many run away shrubs. We had him repair and replace about 40 feet of fence and a gate that was attached to it. Inside he repaired some joints on our granite kitchen counter and completely cleaned and sealed it. He also cleaned and repaired and sealed out kitchen/living room/dining room tile. The biggest job was to remove a pool shed that was about to fall down and to rebuild it from the foundation. He was efficient, timely, his communication was good, and the price was definitely right.
We hired Dave to do a medium sized job at our home. It was what I would call a "landscape refresh/repair". We had another landscaper do some work a couple of years back and it looked great at first but quickly because a major issue as the lawn was dying and the flagstone he installed started falling apart within a very short period of time. We tried on a number of occasions to get the other landscaper to come back and fix his work but he never did. So, I finally came to Thumbtack, interviewed a number of possible landscapers and landed on Dave. This time, as a way of protecting ourselves from our last experience I asked Dave to sign a contract prior to starting. He was totally willing to do that which gave me some peace of mind. He got started when he said he would and overall the project went very smooth. First I'll list the positives from our experience: • Job was done in a reasonable amount of time and the end result is beautiful! • Dave stayed within the budget we set • He did some little extras for us which were greatly appreciated like building a redwood box to cover our sprinkler valves and added some soil around our front yard fence posts to even out the grade of the lawn. • He was selected very nice looking plants for us, with minimal direction from me, and chose larger size plants to give it a better look to start out and also to give the plants a better chance of surviving. Landscapers we have used in the past plan 4" plants instead of 1 gallon to save money but many of them die within the first couple of weeks. • He will continue to come by and keep tabs on how things are growing and make sure nothing dies right out of the gate. • He came up with innovative solutions to some of our irrigation issues Here are a couple of things that were less than perfect: • There were a couple of miscommunications between Dave and the guy who was doing the work. One of those led to a very frustrating couple of hours for my husband who had to dig out a bunch of new soil and mulch in order to find disconnect speaker and lighting wires and repair them even though the worked knew that those wires were disconnected. Instead, the worker should have waited to cover those areas until the wires were fixed. Dave handled this well though and worked with my husband on getting the issue resolved. All in all, we were very happy with Dave and his team. They were clean, courteous and did quality work. I will update again in a few weeks with how things are growing.
David and his crew did a fine job replacing our old front sidewalk. David is easy to work with, understood immediately what we needed done. I've done minor concrete work myself when I was younger, so I know what is involved, and I was pleased with the efficiency and worksmanship. The only minor glitch was a minor lack of communication about when the last phase of the work would be completed, I would have appreciated an extra phone call or e-mail when David got delayed. Still, I'll be contacting David if we need concrete or landscaping work in the future.
I have known Duenas Landscaping for about nine years. I contacted them from a business card they left in my mail box one day. I tried them on cutting three trees in my backyard and I was totally satisfied and impressed. They cleaned up afterwards and hauled away the debris as agreed. I gave them another job later on in my front yard(re-paving my driveway, changing my car-port supports and landscaping). My neighbors were so impressed they asked me if I would recommend them. I did not hesitate to do. NOw, at least five of my neighbors have used Duenas Landscaping, some on a regular weekly basis. I would NOT hesitate to recommend them for any landscaping projects. They are reliable, trustworthy and clean. Manuel Duenas, the owner, is one good individual and a very honest person. You can call me for reference any time. Ray C. Belmont (591-3063)
Perhaps the most knowledgeable professional I have had the pleasure of meeting through Thumbtack, Edward deserves his 5 star review and then some. I am in the process of transforming my backyard garden, and as such, the scope of my project went from planting some new flowers, to “hey honey, we should install a brick patio out here so we can enjoy the garden more” I considered going the DIY approach, heading down to Lowe’s, grabbing some supplies, and just ‘layin down some bricks.’ I am very happy I called Edward instead. He took the time to listen to my goals, educate me on the various steps needed to achieve these goals, and explain the pros and cons of hiring the right people for a job of this size. Going above and beyond the call of duty, he showed me several samples of potential building supplies (way better than anything at the local hardware/landscape supply store) and created a real time, line by line cost AND time proposal for the project, not just a price tag. We look forward to working with Edward and his team at System Pavers!
My yard was an overgrown mess. Based on a series of life events, caring for my yard became the last priority for the last year. While this was appropriate, the yard grew into an eyesore from neglect. Jorge came in to look at it and wasn't intimidated, lol. He and a member of his team came in and worked a miracle clearing the yard of the excess growth. I've since been able to put in a garden. His rates are extremely competitive and I would use him again without hesitation.
Gabriel transformed our yard and helped us prepare the landscaping to be market-ready. He was able to come immediately and gave us a much better price than competitors. The flowers and new sod that he installed not only looked great at the open house, but are actually blooming beautifully (new rose bushes) a month later. We are very happy clients!
Alfredo and team were super responsive and great at providing suggestions and recommendations to make sure we were happy with the backyard. They are affordable, accommodating and were all around great to work with. Took 1 week to build the yard start to finish. I would recommend his team to anyone.
Cesar was very knowledgeable... from start to finish he exceted my expectations on all work preformed very reasonable priced he won't disappoint you.
