I am a perfectionist. I treat every photo with care, and I make sure my clients look their best. I love to create a mood in my photos, so they are engaging and unique. I do this by finding a person's best traits and capturing them in the image. I do not like mediocre photos. I want the best photo that stands out for the people I photograph. I love meeting people, and I love creating a photo that is a unique image of them.

Hired on Thumbtack

I needed an author photo and stumbled onto thumbtack, where Kelly and I found each other. I got several other bids, but when I checked out portfolios, I knew Kelly was my gal. She was really easy to talk to and to work with before the shoot, and just incredible at the shoot. I was nervous for about two seconds and then we just fell right into it. She's a total pro, but also a lot of fun. And HARD WORKING. After we shot in the studio we hiked up to a little hillside park that overlooks the city and shot some more there. She uncomplainingly hauled all her equipment up there and shot more of me and some of me and my dog. Her photos are great, and I'm over the moon about the one that's going on my book. Highly recommended.

I see something so vividly real and unusually brought to light in Kelly's photographs. She has photographed my sister and I for five years and through this process we have found a lot that could never be described in any other way that has helped us to understand ourselves, our relationship and each other. She is spontaneous and wonderful to work with. Her laughter through the evening is something I will never get tired of! I always feel as i am a very important part in this process and feel as we continue to discover who we are we deepen our amazement and appreciation for the world.

I've modeling for Kelly on several occasions and it's always been a wonderful experience. She creates a relaxing yet technical environment where she'll explain in detail what she needs me to do while still letting me maintain my own personality. She always sends me images within a few days of our photo sessions. She is by far one of my very favorite photographers to work with, and definitely one of my very favorite artists ever..

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took an analog 101 class in school over 15 years ago. After the first week in the darkroom, I was hooked on photography.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice for a customer who wishes to hire me is to bring a few change of clothes, so we can have a variety of looks for your session.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Being a great photographer takes years of work and 10,000's of photos. A professional photographer studies their photographs, so developing a professional photo goes beyond just posing and hitting the click button.
